London Fashion Week SS20: The Jewellery Edit
It may be officially Autumn now but the we’re swooning over the Spring/Summer 2020 trends from London Fashion Week and it’s got us all excited about next year already. If this is anything to go by, we’re certainly in for a treat this coming Spring with an array of colourful tones, shapes and textures, and that’s just the jewellery!
Here’s a few jewellery pieces from London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2020 that stood out to us:
London based Turkish designer Bora Aksu graduated from Central St Martin’s MA in 2002. He’s had a successful career dressing some of the biggest fashionistas with the likes of Keira Knightley, Olivia Palermo, Sienna Miller and Paloma Faith on his books. His latest jewellery may be small but it’s oh so glam!
Launched in 2008 and showcased at LFW since Spring/Summer 2012, the designers ready to wear label, Emilia Wickstead, embodies modern femininity. She has made a name for herself in the designer world with her strong silhouettes, bold colours and modern take on traditional garments.
Emilia Wickstead’s Spring/Summer 2020 was inspired by the four characters in the "Little Women" films. The jewellery though was very minimal with a few stand out pieces like the ear cuff below.
Canadian born Luke Tanabe founded Port 1961 through a lifelong love of travelling. Described as ‘fresh’ and ‘modern’ and taking inspiration from the jet-set lifestyle, Port 1961’s latest collection is a feast of vibrant colours and bold patterns, which is present in even the jewellery.
Dublin born Simone Rocha graduated with a BA in Fashion from The National College of Art and Design and then went onto graduate from Fashion MA at Central Saint Martin's College in 2010. Shortly after this Simone debuted for the first time at London Fashion Week.
Simone Rocha has enjoyed almost a decade in the fashion industry, winning many awards for her designs along the way. Her Spring/Summer 2020 collection features interesting shapes, feminine tulle and delicate prints with matching ornate jewellery.
Roberta Einer is known for her intricate detailing and feminine collections and the SS20 collection encompasses just that. With a beautifully ‘girly’ colour palette, soft textures and playful finishes, the jewellery had a lot to stand up against but managed to steal the show.
ERDEM was established in 2005 in London by Erdem Moralioglu after he studied at London’s Royal College of Art. Known for his attention to detail Erdem’s latest creation rings true to style with vibrant colours, conservative shapes and daring prints. A homage to elegant travel and stylish sophistication with delicate detailing and accessories as beautiful and decorative as the clothing!
